Large counties (at least in proportion to the size of the state) occur most often within states with lower population levels. Wyoming is the tenth-largest state, but has the least number of people. Thus, the state is divided into just 23 counties. Also consider Alaska (where they are called Boroughs) which has the top five largest US counties including one that is bigger then Texas. Of course there are exceptions like San Bernardino County California with over 1.7 million residents and an area of 20,052,50 square miles which makes it almost as large as West Virginia or 12 Delawares.

In general, thunderstorms are most likely to occur along the eastern coast of Australia during summer. From Sydney north to the tropical coast of Queensland and over in the "Top End" of the Northern Territory are the areas notorious for being hit by sudden downpours and hailstorms. In all reality they live all over the world, the main areas for the population are 14 eastern counties in the current state of Oklahoma.
There are 102 counties in the state of Illinois. Hillary Clinton won the state of Illinois in the 2016 presidential election. She received 2,977,000 popular votes and Donald Trump received 2,118,000 popular votes. Clinton won 10 of the 102 counties. She received 1,528,000 votes in the populous Cook County with Trump receiving 440,000 popular votes. Trump won the rural areas of Illinois winning 92 of the 102 counties in Illinois.
