The very first Spider-Man comic book came out in the month of August, 1962. The first issue was actually called Amazing Fantasy, rather than The Amazing Spider-Man. It was followed in March of 1963, by the first of 700 issues (to date) that have all been called The Amazing Spider-Man.

∙ 16y agoIm pretty sure Spider-Man was first seen in Amazing Fantasy #15, August 1962. The cover art was by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko. great question ;)
