∙ 12y agoWe are told in Matthew and Luke that Jesus was born in Bethlehem and while there was a possibility of him being killed by Herod, the family moved to Egypt. How long they were there is not recorede, but we are told in the same gospels that the family, on the death of herod, moved back to their original home in Nazareth where Jesus grew up.
Bethlehem still exists as a small town near Jerusalem, the capital of modern day Israel. Nazareth also still exists today in the north of the country near the Sea of Galilee (now called Lake Tiberias).
