The cold war was a military stand-off between the US and the USSR.
They emerged as the two superpowers. They both were very strong and showed their strength in World War 2. The power of these two superpowers led to the Cold War.
After WWII Both the united states and russia became superpowers.
I think you are getting it back the front. After World War Two there were two major world powers - the USA and the Soviet Union. Both had been very distrustful of each other before the war, but were allies during the war due to a common enemy. In the post war era both sides went back to their mutual mistrust. Since the war had changed the balance of power in the world, both sides feared the other side, thinking they would try to expand their influence and possibly overthrow them. This led to the cold war. So the presence of two superpowers led to the cold war, not the cold war leading to two superpowers.... in fact the cold war finally led to the collapse of one of the superpowers (USSR)
Because of M.A.D- mutually assured destruction. Since both superpowers had a nuclear weapon they knew that when one country will attack the other, both atomic bombs would be fired and most of the world would be destroyed. They didn't want that..... Hope it helped :)
both involved superpowers in their attempt to influence the spread of communism
Both the United States(US) and China are superpowers. The United States use to be one of the largest superpowers in the world but is beginning to slip.
Both involved superpowers in their attempt to influence the spread of communism.
Answer this question… Both involved superpowers in their attempt to influence the spread of communism.
The Cold War, was the reason that the United States and the Soviet Union competed. As both were the world's military, industrial and overall superpowers. Both superpowers wanted to prove that they were better than each other. The Soviets were somewhat more skilled, and were beating the United States by sending Yuri Gagarin, the first man into space. The space race, was a one of the Cold War's defining moments. But the United States, won the end by sending the first man on the moon.
no, both cold and hot water can affect soap bubbles
M.A.D- mutually assured destruction. Since both Superpowers (USSR and USA) had a nuclear weapon, they knew that if one will attack the other, both atomic bombs would have been fired and they would have destroyed the world. Therefore, they fought in Arm race, Space race and Proxy wars (wars fought by smaller countries on the behalf of the superpowers). Also, in the Cold war there were no actual fighting between the USSR and the USA. Hope it helped :)
The main disagreement was that they both were superpowers with nuclear weapons, so they feared each other.
Particularly cold temperatures can affect both cold cathode back lighting as well as the speed at which the crystals can change state. However, both of them will correct themselves once the television has reached a normal internal temperature. Electronics are generally much better able to handle cold temperatures than we are so the viewers will be affect by the cold sooner than a television will be damaged.
Because of the cold war, both superpowers saught after countries they could influence towards their ideology This caused more hostality between the nations in Africa. Also, both superpowers used poor African countries to sell their outdated weapons for profit, causing a huge amount of simple yet lethal weapons to flow into Africa. The US also used and still does use Africa as a waste dump, this however is not as much related to the cold war but the fact remains.
There actually was no fighting, as it just was a standoff between Russia (Soviet Union at the time) and The U.S, both superpowers with nuclear weapons. So there you go.
The only similarity is tha there was a lot of false story's told by both sides in order to get the people to really hate the enemy. The differences are that the Cold War was not an actual war, there was no physical conflict. World war 2 involved all of the world's superpowers while the Cold War only involved the United States and the USSR (and any countries supporting or supported by the USSR)
Both newborn infants and aged individuals have very little subcutaneous tissue How does this affect their sensitivity to cold environmental temperatures?
Because the United states and the Soviet union both World superpowers had nuclear weapons But they both know that even one nuke going off could set off a full scale nuclear war. so they stayed in a stalemate for decades . That's why they were scared
Allies: Soviet Union (Russia) and United States, both became superpowers after World War 2 Axis: Nazi Germany
both fronts, both bring weather, they both change temperatures when they move, and lastly they affect large areas.
well there are 2 cold places such as a place in russia and the north pole which are both extremely cold
They can catch it from both humans and other pets. Since we have similar ammune systems, the same sicknesses can affect us both.
Basically, the world was divided two; those that followed the Soviet Union and communism, and those that followed the United States and democracy. Both countries were superpowers at the time, and soon had enough nuclear weapons to destroy the Earth. Both countries hoped to get countries to join them by offering them food and financial support. If the country excepted, naturally it would use that country as a model.
Due to the cold war everyone was affected because the Americans and Russian were both fighting for power. The economy of either countries were unaffected and the affect was mostly political.
Both superpowers striving for their own self interest
