In what year did England take over Ireland?
The Normans invaded Ireland in 1169 and the last major war against the English ended in 1603. The conquest was a gradual process in between these two dates.
No one. The title "Queen (or King) of England" has not existed for over 300 years. In 1942, the King of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was George VI, and his wife, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was his Queen Consort. England is a part of The United Kingdom, but the monarch has not been "of England" since the year 1707.
