Prokaryotes do not perform photosynthesis. They are organisms that lack a cell nucleus, they don't even have chloroplast, to perform it. Plants, which are eukaryotes, photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast.
CO2 enters the leaf through the stomata and diffuses into the mesophyll cells and then travesl to teh stroma of the choloroplast. The Light-dependent reactions take place within the thylakoid membrane and the light-independent reactions take place in the stroma of the chloroplast
