Infiniti i30 runs hot with ac on?
check radiator for leaks
low pressure line
The 1996 Infiniti I30 with the 3.0 liter SFI DOHC 6-cylinder engine uses R-134a refrigerant. The capacity for this make and model is 23 ounces.
Freon is added through the ac low pressure port. The port is located on the aluminum pipe on the ac line.
2 belts one for the power steering and one serpentine belt for the ac, alternator and water pump
Check coolant levels and also if you are running the AC it puts significant strain on the cooling system and actually increases your cars temp. Of it overheats turn on the heater to relieve some of the pressure.
i have the same problem. with my car i have to turn the key slightly back towards me and it all comes on.
Idle the car with the AC running. Open the hood and look at the AC compressor- is the compressor engaged? (the front of the compressor (inside the belt) should be spinning. If not, then have the AC system recharged. If it is turning, then you've got the door to a duct stuck inside the unit.
No. If you have hot water heat, you also have a separate air handler for the AC to circulate the air.
Yes, because your engine is on.
go to eBay or amazon .com
On most vehicles, it only runs when the temperature is high enough or the ac requires it. On most vehicles, it only runs when the temperature is high enough or the ac requires it.
Maybe your cooling system needs to be flushed out.

The ac unit is a tax on the engine to run. This is true with all vehicles. Having the ac on will make the engine work harder to run the ac compressor. This makes the engine run hotter.
AC/DELCO is the best brand. Just get whatever specifications meet your car.
The short and sweet answer to the question is "Yes." Measure for a new serpentine belt and route around the AC pulley. The vehicle will operate in all other respects as normal.
The AC runs to remove moisture from the air inside your vehicle. Moisture causes the fog inside of your windows. The ac runs to remove the moisture and the heater runs to heat the air.
The duct work probably runs through an area that is hot and humid, i.e. attic space, and it isn't insulated.
need to set base idle and clean fuel injectors
There's a DIY video posted at http://www.infinitihelp.com/diy/gsedan/engine_transimission.htm
AC for Honda Civic work when park in cool place and runs for a while then just blow hot air If the car park in sun AC won't work. Some time car need to run to high speed to make AC work?
the system needs to be recharged with refrigerant
Check the cooling fan and cooling relay first but (Yes) if the vehicle runs hot then the a/c will stop blowing cold air because of high head pressure on the a/c system and if you continue to run it this way the a/c will be (DOA)..................
If it is very hot outside (you don`t say) and it is cooling (you don`t say), nothing is wrong and it is properly sized.
your car ac will only blow hot air when there coolannt in the car is finished or the car is oveerheated.
You can't repair a belt, you need to replace it. Loosen the power steering pump first and remove that belt. Then you can loosen the AC belt at the Idler pulley.
Only when hot to cool down? Normal All the time? Could be a bad relay not opening when power removed
the aurora have two ac temp. sensor one of them are bad
If your ac is making noises or is blowing hot air instead of cold
Probably because the ac needs to be recharged..
The defroster turns the AC compressor on so if the vehicle runs hot with the AC on it will also do so with the defroster. To fix this look first to see if your Ac fan motor is working. On this year model I believe there are two different cooling fans, 1 for the motor and the 2nd for the air conditioner. A lot of times it may just be a fuse or maybe even… Read More
97 Saturn sl problem is that the car will run hot unless the ac is on engine cooling fan only runs with ac on the coolant temperature sensor was replaced but the problem persist what should be done?
Sounds like your cooling fan relay is shot. Ron J.
Check the coolant level, but most likely you have the water pump failing on you or the thermostat. It's better to start from the coolant level and then switch to thermostat and so on.
you need to recharge the ac system. It may have a leak somewhere. take it to a shop that does ac work
One thing to do is to check the A/C Relay. Mine wasn't plugged in once and it did that.
a fuse could be blowed or your ac needs to be charged.(or both)
I don't have an answer but I do know that my 2002 QX4 blew but didnt cool and I replaced a fuse and it cooled but it wouldn't stop blowing. The situation now is, if the AC if "off" the air blows whatever temp it is outside, as it's Texas ,that usually means HOT. If you turn the AC "on" the air will cool. The only "PIA" is that the speed stays on high regardless… Read More
Marcus used 134a refrigerant and slight ac coolness went to no coolness, so we are stumped and hot and bothered about no ac on the road. What is the problem, overfill? You have to buy a aftermarket fit kit to fit one. it can be done but you need a fit kit with the ac controls relocated.
AC runs on the battery. If the car is off and you run the AC, then start the car, it will stall.
Your engine is hot.
Could be no Freon in it.
Have you checked your coolant levels? Simply put, the heater runs by blowing past the hot coolant pipes and gives you warm air.
There are no adptors to plug a 240v plug into a 120v receptacle. 240v requires two hot wores and a neutral and ground. 120v requires one hot wire, a neutral and a ground. If you have something that runs on 240/120 you need the cord and adaptor that came with the equipment as you willl need the wires to mate up accordingly.
The most likely answer is that the refrigerant in the AC system has slowly leaked out and can no longer work at low speeds.
hot wire ammmeter or a moving iron ammeter will work for ac and dc.
1996 Sebring conv AC blower works but just blows hot air When AC button is pushed the little green AC indicator doesn't illuminate Replaced AC relay cannot find fuse so still hot air Any advice?
It's underneath the hood. There is a fuse block.
Low refrigerant charge? Temperature contro set to HOT position?
No its not, as your dogs will turn into hot dogs.
sounds like your low on freon and anti freeze
Generally when the engine is hot or the AC is on.
