∙ 14y agoNo, it's not, actually. Your top number is perfect, but your bottom number, but your diastolic (lower number) is stage 2 high. This can cause some pretty severe headaches, and if unanswered can result in stroke. Age, weight, diet, and other things are huge factors in this.
Unfortunately, depending upon gender, race or other conditions, your medications to take for this might be limited.
As a test: Try taking a hot shower (REALLY hot), and check your BP a half hour afterwards. That should lower your bottom number if there's blood gathering around your heart.

∙ 12y ago124 over 79 is pretty much ideal. The rule of thumb is that 120/80 is the ideal blood pressure, while 130 over 85 is "average". Your blood pressure is closer to "ideal" than "normal". No need to worry what so ever - yours is better than most people's blood pressure.
