∙ 12y agoIt's unlikely that those two companies would join since they run different types of network. Verizon is CDMA and T-Mobile is GSM. So for them to join would mean that all of one companies customers would have to get new phones.

They are not because AT&T already bought them. So Verizon might go with these 2 choices
- get the Verizon iphone to be able to talk and surf the web at the same time
-make a 4g iphone
-make more 4g phones
-build more cellphone towers
-buy Sprint/ another company
-stay how they are now

∙ 12y agono at&t is not merging with Verizon. Its alltel that is merging with Verizon. People who have Verizon and alltel will be notified with any changes etc soon.
