Andersonville Theological Seminary is a legitimate school. It has recently partnered with an accreditating agency recongized by the United States Department of Education. Some of the programs may be soft, but it functions like any distance education instituition. The Seminary claims some of their credits are tranferable to other university and schools.

It is to my knowledge that all of the Teachers at Andersonville Seminary use the KJV Bible for teaching and recomend that the student utilize the authorized version.

Use of the KJV 1611 is the preferred version of The Bible for Andersonville Theological Seminary. Students must use the KJV in their reading, if they quote Scriptute it will be from the KJV, their research will be done using the KJV.

Many conservative Biblical scholars feel the KJV 1611 is the last great translation of Scripture and should not be altered in any way. I graduated from Andersonville and enjoyed using the KJV of the Bible. It's use is arguable and many would suggest the 1611 is not the best translation and would use recent discoveries of angient texts as proof that there is more supporting evidence and should be used to enhance the current or the KJV translation. Others would suggest just the opposite, that indeed the 1945 discovery at Nag Hammurabi has added credibility of the Holy Bible as written. I believe the real objection has to be that some conservatives believe that the Bible will be corrupted if we use new and modern language and the intended meanings will be distorted and convaluted. I believe that if Scripture is inspired by God and preserved through the 1611 version, God is great enough to preserve it though the NIV or any other modern translation.

*I highly doubt they require the 1611 translation. No one could understand it. No one in churches today could understand the Olde English. This is an argument with huge holes in it. If they do require the 1611 that means they also accept the Apocrypha which was included as a part of the 1611.*
