not everyone. some religions do not celebrate Christmas. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that Jesus was born on December 25.
Note: Muslims celebrate Christmas because they believe in Jesus( or as the call Esa) to be a messenger of god and a prophet. |However, they d not believe he was born on 25th December but celebrate it as remembering him, not necessarily his birth. Source: a muslin writer IE me.
Well, I think that is up to everyone to decide for themselves. I know a lot of people who aren't religious, but who still like to celebrate Christmas. Of course it is of special significance to Christians, but it can definitely be for everyone who chooses to celebrate it. It doesn't require any sort of religious commitment.
Christmas is as the name implies, a "Christian" holiday, however, if people of other religions want to celebrate why not?? the more the merrier! There are people who like to celebrate every holiday no matter what religion it represents.
Yes, but as a socially spiritual event, like a week of Thanksgiving Day, not a specifically Christian feast. Since Christmas is entirely non-Christian in origin, it is rejected by the most excruciatingly correct Christians. Under the Puritans here in Massachusetts, the celebration of Christmas was against the Law in colonial times. Official Christianity tried unsuccessfully for centuries to suppress Christmas, finally and grudgingly admitting it as a minor feast, while inventing little fictions to give Christian meaning to the boughs of holly the people traditionally bring into their homes at Yule-tide.
The Nativity story in the New Testament, with the star and the Magi, is not the original version of the birth of Jesus, nor was it originally told about the birth of Jesus. The story was borrowed from the cult of Mithras, along with many other features including the Sunday Sabbath and the identification of Christ with the Word. Versions of the original Nativity of Jesus story survive in folk-lore, for example in the Cherry Tree Carol; and in the Qur'an (Sura 19 The Book of Mary).
Christmas is presently a secular holiday (Santa, present, egg nog and so on) and a Christian religious festival.. It is difficult to tell which group of celebrating people is which. This is made even more difficult by concurrent festivals by Jews, Druids and followers of the Viking gods. Some even celebrate Newton's birthday on Decemberr 25.Everybody is a having a good time. Asking whether anyone else is happy "for the right reason" is rather odd and smacks of being a wet blanket.
If you are a christian, of course, it is a beautiful holiday, even non-Christians think it is a lovely holiday with a ll the decorations and the great food!
Probably. Anyone that is a member of a capitalist society should celebrate Christmas and capitalism is the worst economic system...except for all the rest.
everyone should celebrate Christmas so they can celebrate Jesus Christ birthday and thank him for what he has done for us and gave us..He deserves it
Everyone on earth do not celebrate! There three different holidays.
i think they celebrate Christmas on the 25 like everyone else
Yes,of course.But not everyone.
A few religions around the world do not celebrate Christmas such as the Muslims or the Jews. Jehovah's Witnesses among others also do not celebrate Christmas .
yes he does da everyone does
believe it or not you'd be suprised that most of the world does not celebrate christmas
YES..... Everyone loves Christmas only if you celebrate it..... It is only your opinion to celebrate Christmas. You can get presents candy and decorate your houses and make cookies or brownies
Christians around the world celebrate Christmas. This includes Christians in Holland.
Not everyone celebrates Christmas. For some Christmas is a holy day; for some Christmas is a holiday; for some Christmas is just enjoyable for their own reasons. But there are many societies that do not celebrate Christmas at all. Christmas is a Christian celebration and not everyone is a Christian.
25th of December like everyone else!
Well it depends where you live... everyone celebrates Christmas in a different place, some might celebrate with their family or they might celebrate it by themselves
The birth of Jesus is the real reason Christians celebrate Christmas. Christians believe Jesus is the Messiah, so they celebrate his birth. It is not the reason everyone celebrates Christmas, though.
