R.B.W. Culpepper says yes. Fat Albert and the gang are based on Bill Cosby's childhood friends. At the end of the Fat Albert movie you can see the actual people that the cartoon was based on, except Fat Albert. He is no longer living. R.I.P. Albert

Humour is a funny thing. What one person finds hysterically funny, another may not. Fat Albert is a perfect example. One person may find it the greatest cartoon ever another person may not understand the jokes and humour so not enjoy the show. Someone else may understand the humour, but not find it in anyway funny.

So, yes it is funny. No it isn't funny. Depends upon whether the show tickles your funny bone.

Fat Albert is a cartoon character in the Cosby Kids created by Bill Cosby. As far as I know he was/is a fictional character, not a real man. On the other hand Fat Albert was a short-lived slang term for the Boeing 747 when it first came out a reference to the bulging forward fuselage. Now, they have been involved in crashes, but that is something else.
