∙ 13y agoNo, Grand Theft Auto was not released as a GTA 5. Sometimes people like to number the Game versions instead of using the actual name. They also do that for Call of Duty game versions that never had a number and only a title. I've seen it done for many other games. Grand Theft Auto IV was was not released for the PS2
