no, the strait of gibraltar is not a country; but there is a country named '' gibraltar '' under the sovereignty of the united kingdom. the straigh of gibraltar is composed of four elements as a part of sea: 1- the territorial waters of Spain , 2- the territorial waters of Morocco , 3- the territorial waters of gibraltar (uk's overseas territory) (the status of gibraltar's territorial waters is disputed!) , 4- the strait waters which is belongs to no country
