Whether Gilligan's Island is the best show ever made is a personal opinion. As Classic Television, Gilligan's Island built around the most famous slapstick humor used from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Gilligan's Island used very simple, easy to grasp jokes and misunderstandings in interactions between the Captain and Gilligan, such as found in The Three Stooges of 1900 through 1950s radio and television. Gilligan acted like Curly of the Three Stooges. The Captain was more like Moe of The Three Stooges. While Gilligan's Island would never be considered sophisticated humor, the show has entertained at least 3 to 4 generations of adults and children through re-runs.
