no that's full of ballionie if u belive in god u will believe that the show a hunting is tottaly FAKE!
Whoever put that answer is full of BOLOGNA, first off they need hooked on phonics because they didn't spell most of their words right... I believe in God and I believe in hauntings. 99% of the hauntings on there is demon possession, and The Bible clearly states that demon possession is very real. And I'm assuming that since you believe in God that you also believe in Satan and his fallen angels. But back to answering the question, yes the show a haunting is based on true events and stories. Some of these places are very famous, and are documented.
yes this person is very right but the bible has been changed for many ages and some the things are not true (no offense to my dear christian brother and sisters) the "Quran" is the right book and it states the same thing but they are not called demons they are called jinn and they do posses the human soul but remember there are good and bad jinns and also many Muslims have had contact with them and my great grandfather was a teacher of jinn but the show of a haunting are clearly made up either to make more shows or people wanting to become famous but beware the jinn lurks all around you.
--Okay, now I have to put in my two cents. I am a full Christian and always have been, and I have also lived in a haunted house and they are very frightening and traumatizing. It is VERY real and something you should NOT mess with.. now, whether these stories were fictionalized or not, I am not sure but I do know that it could be true. Speaking from experience. Though in my case, it didn't do any physical harm, but it would slam stuff around, break light bulbs, change the radio station, get into my dreams, speak in loud whispers that were inaudible, sometimes see them walk around, etc.
Answer
It is claimed to be. The available evidence suggests that this is probably not the case.
Answer
There is a long history of the story that has passed down. From what I know the murders are true but that is where it ended. The Lutz's who sold the story and were the family that claims they were driven out by demons eventually came clean after a lot of investigation when the movie was being remade. Check out the link below to read more. I think we should all be thankful that it is not a true story.
Answer
Yes and no. The murders portrayed in the beginning of the film perpetrated by Robert DeFeo happened exactly as was shown. He stalked the house and went room to room and murdered his entire family one night for seemingly no reason and later claimed that he heard voices that made him commit the crimes and that is where the allegations that the house was haunted started. George and Kathy Lutz later moved into the house when it was made known to them what happened there. They detailed the accounts of what happened to them, all of which is mainly correct in the film versions according to them, and sold the story and it was made into a book. The mover who came and removed the furniture from the home claimed he experienced NO paranormal activity the whole time that he was there, and the next set of people whom moved into the house, Jim and Barbara Cromarty roundly rejected the claims that the house was haunted, and they NEVER experienced the slightest bit of the paranormal activity while living there. Almost all credible paranormal researchers and investigators have COMPLETELY panned the Lutz's claims of haunting and have all basically agreed that they were just looking to cash in on a ghost story rooted in sad and grim historical reality.
