Is India a good place for a holiday?

Sure it is. As any country is good to visit and learn from their culture and nature. And you (reading this answer) are probably living outside of India, so it'll be a big difference and a lots to learn about their culture aand nature.

It depends on what 'better' is because everyone wants and view of life are different. India is an extreme mix of riches & poverty, of luxury & hardship, of great weather & horrible weather, of great education & education that gets you no where, of loving families & conservative family values, of a world of air conditioning and a world of pollution, of amazing food & plenty of food poisoning, of varieties that no other country can offer...India is a country where every human is waiting to help you & yet there is no value for human life. It is a complex society of bribery & corruption but at the same time a complex society of warmth, happiness, satisfaction & most of all diverse spirituality. It is a geographical cocktail & can be a paradise & a sore sight at the same time. One day spent in India exposes you to more 'life' than a decade spend elsewhere. Having rules but not following them gives you a sense of freedom as well as exposes you to more danger. There is plenty of choice in hiring someone else to look after your domestic needs to make life easier for you but at the same time the addiction of this service renders you paralysed to happily look after yourself if need be. India is insanely rich in history & yet most of history looks destroyed in the current age. India is a confluence of ruling dynasties that have left their mark on this nation bringing both the good and the bad with them. Many Indians leave India to settle elsewhere and become NRI's but never fail to mention there is no place on Earth like India. The population load on Indian infrastructure is tremendous and yet India takes it in its stride to what ever best it can. India resonates something no other country has or ever will, so to answer the question on whether India is a better place to live in or not...it depends on how you want to live your life and what you want to expose yourself to. But there is one thing for sure, if you're born & brought up in India in your early years you can happily survive in any part of the world and continue living 'best of both the worlds'

And I am American. I know though, that your question in an opinion. As for the Scottish^, Every country that has cameras has movies now days, every country in general has song. Now, about the songs it depends on how poor, or detached (from the rest of the world) the country is weather or not they have recorded and released their song for sale.

in fact people in India are extremely nice and they are always eager to help or do justice, they are nicer than a lot of other people think they are. They give respect to everyone equally no matter what age and they are willing to start a converation anywhere with anyone, that's how nice they are.

India is lovely, everything about it. the bright colors just the EVERYTHING, and its hot, but the only thing is wrong with it is: its a mosquito country!
