Short answer: you don't. Call Kodak for a replacement printer.I called Kodak support and it is an issue "under research". After a factory default settings reset didn't work (it did for one restart, but then the problem came back), they sent a replacement printer. Remove both the ink cartridges and then the print head. Carefully, wipe off the excess ink form the print head and return it to the printer. Reload inks and follow the instructions on installing a new print head. It worked for me!
Is it more affordable to buy a photo printer?
If you want it to look professional, get it printed by shop. It will be much higher and better quality picture. That's just my opinion, but high quality photo printers are expensive so if you are on a budget it would not be more affordable. Mine is average and prints average quality photos so I still get my developed.
