LSD is not "bad" for you but it may alter your view of reality. Sometimes a bad trip can make you afraid of things you were not afraid of before but it may also help you overcome phobias, addictions, and other psychological trauma under the right conditions.

LSD will remain in your system and flashbacks may be experienced after the experience.

Lysergic acid (LSD) has been tested to be safer than acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin).

Take it in a way that is safe and responsible, which means; 1. Check your sources.

2. Do it with people you trust, in a safe place.

3. Don't push your limits too far or too fast on the dosage.

4. Do it only if you are feeling good, mentally and physically.

That is subjective question. Some would argue that it is dangerous because it can uncover latent mental issues (such as schizophrenia) and in cause PTSD. Others would argue that it is not, as it can be used therapeutically.

In any event it should not be used without expert medical supervision.

Whether its dangerous or not, it is illegal (except for medical and scientific research) in all nations in the United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Drugs, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Europe.

That depends on what you mean by harmful, because everything can be harmful if used incorrectly, or if used too much, too often etc.

LSD is actually an incredibly safe drug compared to alcohol, valium, even paracetamol - if you evaluate them on the difference between an effective dose and a lethal dose.

LSD doesn't cause cell damage or brain damage, but can be harmful to people with pre-existing mental conditions.

LSD can permanently change perception and understanding, and depending on these changes it could be viewed as harmful, but equally it can regarded as beneficial for others.

But for a normal joe, with no preexisting mental illness, and a healthy curiousity about the world, LSD is unlikely to cause any lasting harm, even in the worst case.

Impossible to prove as the effects of short term use may not exhibit any outward adverse effects. Long term or high volume of usage is definitely linked to serious health problems.
