YES

Yes, He is about as historical a person as George Washington is. Answer FLIGHT FROM EGYPT The dramatic story of the Exodus -- of God delivering Moses and the Israelite people from Egyptian bondage and leading them to the Promised Land of Canaan -- has been called the "central proclamation of the Hebrew Bible." Yet archaeologists have found no direct evidence to corroborate the biblical story. Inscriptions from ancient Egypt contain no mention of Hebrew slaves, of the plagues that the Bible says preceded their release, or of the destruction of the pharaoh's army during the Israelites' miraculous crossing of the Red Sea. No physical trace has been found of the Israelites' 40-year nomadic sojourn in the Sinai wilderness. There is not even any indication, outside of the Bible, that Moses existed. Still, as with the patriarch narratives, many scholars argue that a lack of direct evidence is insufficient reason to deny that the Exodus actually happened.....

Answer There actually is evidence of the exodus, there is a lot of evidence infact. Unfortunately most people are not aware of it because for most of history, people have been looking in the wrong places. Mt. Sinai is most certainly located in modern day Saudi Arabia at a mountain called Jabal al Lawz (mount of almonds). There are remains of pottery there, there is a giant rock altar there on which there are still engravings of bulls, giant rock pillars and markers placed around the mountain (Moses made these heres as markers to let the people know not to go past them), the split rock at Horeb from which the springs burst forth, charred mountain top (God descended on it and it went up in flames records Exodus), and also a cave which is significant since Elijah supposedly stayed in a cave in Mt. Sinai.

Scholars, archaeologists and historians agree almost unanimously one one thing: the was no Exodus from Egypt as described in The Bible. They have examined the extensive Late Bronze Age records in Egypt and found no record pertaining to the departure of a great number of slaves, no record of a series of plagues, no record of the loss of an entire army in the Red Sea or the Reed Sea and no unexplained interruption to dynastic succession. In support of this, they find there was no unified conquest of Canaan, as described in the Bible.

If there was no biblical Exodus from Egypt, then the biblical Moses did not exist as a historical person.

Was Moses's a real person?

There is limited historical evidence outside of religious texts to confirm the existence of Moses as a real person. Many scholars debate his historical existence, with some viewing him as a legendary figure rather than a concrete historical figure.

Was Moses historical or biblical?

The respected Israeli archaeologist, Israel Finkelstein says that over 90 per cent of scholars do not believe there ever was an Exodus from Egypt as described in the Bible. On this view, Moses could never have been alive in the historical sense. And the Amarna Letters prove conclusively that Palestine continued to be ruled by petty Canaanite kings under overall Egyptian control until at least 1270 BCE.So, Moses is certainly biblical, in fact one of the most important people in the Bible. But he was not historical.

Was Sobekneferu Moses step mother?

There is no direct historical evidence supporting the idea that Sobekneferu was Moses's stepmother. Sobekneferu was an Egyptian queen who ruled during the Middle Kingdom, while Moses is a figure from the Hebrew Bible who led the Israelites out of Egypt. The two characters come from different historical and cultural contexts.

Why do most people not accept that everyone mentioned in the Bible is fictional?

This is because, on a purely secular, historical view, not every person in the Bible was fictional. True, the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah and even Abraham appear to be mythical, and Moses and Joshua probably never existed. But most of the kings of Israel and Judah were real, historical people, whether or not their biblical stories are not factual. The Bible is seen by critical scholars as a mixture of myth, legend and history.
