Yes, there are two new remakes coming out fall 2009, they are called Pokemon heart gold and soul silver. Hope this helped!

Nothing is known yet whether the Pokemon company and Nintendo will remake Pokemon yellow... even though they have remade nearly every Pokemon game like Pokemon blue and red - fire red and leaf green, diamond and pearl - platinum even silver and gold - heartgold and soulsilver. But since yellow was basically the same as red and blue, apart from receiving pikachu as your starter, and the other differences like receiving bulbasaur, charmander and squirtle along the game, the chances are they will not remake Pokemon yellow... No you cannot trade between the regular Pokémon Gold game made for the Gameboy Color and the Pokémon LeafGreen game made for the Gameboy Advance however Pokémon LeafGreen can migrate its Pokémon over to the remake of Pokémon Gold which is called Pokémon HeartGold which was made for the Nintendo DS system.
