No. Sherlock Holmes was a fictitious individual created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

He was based on Dr Joseph Bell, who taught Arthur Conan Doyle at Edinburgh. Even the address 221-B Baker Street was fictional - at the time the stories were written, the street didn't go up to the 200's.
