The above answer isn't accurate. Zyzzyx Road isn't classified as horror, it's classified online as either an action thriller, thriller or drama. According to box office mojo, the lowest grossing horror movie is 2011's Creature w/ a total box office of $508,714, however there is a 2009 horror/comedy called Transylmania that grossed less w/ $397,641, but for pure horror genre it's Creature.
