"Vitamin B" is not a single compound, but a group of several different compounds, all of which are more or less soluble in water, though. (Vitamin C is also water-soluble; Vitamins A. D, E and K are not very soluble in water.)

What vitamins are A D and E?

What are water-soluble vitamins?

Water-soluble vitamins dissolve easily in water and, in general, your body can readily excrete them in urine. Because you can't readily store them, you need to consume them more consistently. Bacteria synthesize many types of water-soluble vitamins.

What does fat souble mean?

I'm assuming that meant "fat soluble" and it's a typo in the question?Fat-soluble basically refers to the ability of a nutrient to dissolve in fat as opposed to those which dissolve in water (water-soluble). In nutrition we usually ascribe this term to the solubility of nutrients, most oftenly vitamins, in the bloodstream. All vitamins are either water soluble or fat soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins cannot be absorped in water and because of this they need the availability of bile from the lymphatic system to enable them to dissolve in the blood stream.Fat soluble vitamins: A,D,E, and K.water soluble vitamins: B's and C.Fat soluble nutrients, unlike water soluble nutrients, don't need to be consumed with the same regularity because they can be stored in adipose tissue (fatty layers under skin) and in the liver.I hope this has shed some light on your question, if I can help further just holler.

What is the difference between water soluble and water unsoluble vitamins?

Basically vitamins are two kinds.1. Water soluble vitamins2. Fat soluble vitaminsWater Soluble Vitamins:These vitamins are easily dissolved in water. Water-soluble vitamins are carried to the body's tissues. Body keeps the amount what it needs and the excess amounts are excreted in the urine. Body cannot store the water-soluble vitamins. Every person needs continuous supply of water soluble vitamins in order to maintain healthy body. Plants and animal foods are good food sources for these vitamins.Fat Soluble Vitamins:Fat soluble vitamins cannot dissolve in water, generally these vitamins are stored in fat. In a person with a healthy digestive system, the body uses what it needs and the remaining levels stored in the body for future needs.
