Yes, it is. To get into talent search camps and summer schools, the minumum for a seventh or eighth grader is about 1500. And that is for an exceptionally smart person. It is a pretty good SAT score, and in high school, it'll get higher.
u need an average of 2000
you need practice
i recomend your practice your Vocab
this is a big problem to all student taking the SAT
and second is READING
Quite good. I'm a ninth grader and I got 1610.
One question- are you doing the Johns Hopkins Gifted Youth center thing? I am. 1610 is above the average of 1500, and you did as well as a ninth grader, so in my opinion that's really good. Don't worry anyway, you don't HAVE TO worry about it until high school. And by the looks of it, you're very smart. It's a very good grade:)
FOR A NINTH GRADER?!?!?! I'm an ELEVENTH GRADER and got a 1690! If you take it again as a junior, you will definitely improve, but as a ninth grader that is way impressive! You should be very proud of yourself!
I got a 1780 too: 660 math, 580 reading and 540 writing with a 9 on the essay. I think our scores are good enough for California state colleges and a bit on the iffy side for uc's, where I plan to go. I believe our scores are above average but I'm taking it again in oct of 09.
Um dont listen to the answer before. That is an amazing score for a 6th grade. By the time you are in 10th grade you should have amazing scores for your sat. Im in 9th grade and I just got a 171 on my psat. That means your pretty close to my score and your only in 7th grade :o
Good for an eighth grader, but you couldn't get into a college with it!
its not a bad score, its above average though you should practice a little more to increase ur score. >_<
That's a good score for anyone, but it's especially good for a 12-year-old.
Very, that's amazing, I got a 1438, but 1620, that's really good.
Yes, 1500 is the average for HIGH SCHOOLERS so you did better than lots of high schoolers!
Umm really great! I'm in eighth grade & I got a 252! lol
If you visit www.lexile.com, you will find a calculator and a very good explanation of what "lexile" scores mean. My child actually made the mistake of calling it "lextile" also.
It is extremely high
1185 is a good score
It depends on your school. In a regular school the average For a fifth grader is 220 so a 6th grader would have about 225 .So that is a good score you have passed the MAP.
Thats pretty good for a person you age, but a 6th grader at my school got a 302.
Yes,that is actually very good for a 5th grader.
Yes. It is a very good score for a seventh grade and is approximately equivalent to the 90th percentile for a sophomore.
For a 7th grader, 500 in one section is a great score, seeing as you probably are unfamiliar with the material.
It was an excellent book that gave me as an 8th grader a great feeling of excitement...
