The most valuable Lincoln wheat cent would be a 1944 steel, because it's an error coin. The next most valuable is another error, the slightly more common (but still extremely rare) 1943 copper cent.

Wheat cents were struck from 1909 to 1958 and carry the familiar portrait of Lincoln.

1901 would make it an Indian head cent. It's a common date, usually selling for around one dollar.
