You don['t say what year the chev is. Call the local wrecking yard.
more than likely yes i would say espeially if its a front wheel drive
Is a 1999 chevy tahoe transmission compatible with a 2001 chevy tahoe transmission?
it depend on what parts. the 93 luminas are part of the first gen, and the 96 is second gen. some 93 luminas have the same 3.4 L DOHC(207 in
The type of transmission that is compatible with a 1994 Chevy is going to depend on the model. Every model has a specific motor which requires a specific type of transmission.
Chevy Cavalier or Olds Calais...
Any transmission from a comparable Chevy Lumina APV or Pontiac Trans Sport minivan should be compatible, provided they have similar engines.
No, the tranny has to be out of a olds, Pontiac, or Buick to bolt up to a Pontiac engine.
NO. They are different.
Pontiac didn't make a 307. If it's an Olds 307, you need an adapter or a BOP transmission.
only a Buick, olds or Pontiac engine will bolt to a Pontiac tranny as Chevy blocks have a different bolt pattern.
LOOK ON THE inside of the door!!!!!!!!! OR READ THE TIRE
Yep! The transmissions are completely interchangeable.
My 1998 Chevy Lumina has air conditioning. I assume that was the question if Luminas come with a/c.
Some Pontiacs came from the factory with Chevy engines. If this is the case on your 79 firebird, then the transmission will bolt up to a 350 Chevy. If the car came with a Pontiac engine, then the bolt pattern is different and would not bolt up.
Yes as long as they both come out of the same wheel drive vehicle
NO. The bellhousing is different on the 1996 model only.
NO. They are not even close. Will not interchange.
Yes they are both 4L60E transmissions as long as they are both out of a 2 wheel drive.
The '90 through '96 Luminas weighed approximately 3,600 lbs.
Almost, except the case for a 4WD transmission is designed to mount a transfer case, and the tail shaft is intended to go into said transfer case... a 2WD transmission is not. They will not be compatible.
Type IV or the newer type IV which is backwards compatible.
DEX III or the new DEX VI is aso bckward compatible
Solved . They are both C125 transmissions
Anything can be done with enough work. However after 1981, f bodies had chevy engines rather than the Pontiac. The Chevy trans will not bolt to the Pontiac block willingly.
most luminas you need to remove the tank the pump is in it
yes as long as they are the same wheel drive and trans set up wiring may be different but not likely
