Is a Bengal tiger the same thing as a white tiger?
A white tiger is a variation of the Bengal tiger that is white with black stripes instead of orange with black stripes. All white tigers are Bengal tigers, but not all Bengal tigers are white tigers.
A genetic defect makes them white. They are really Bengal tigers. no the white tiger and the Bengal and the same people get them micst up the Bengal is the same as the white tiger they just have a differint name
Yes. A Bengal tiger is normally white, but can be orange.
The first white tigers were found among the Bengal race, but cross breeding with siberians have made some hybrid white tigers.
White tigers are just a genetically flawed version of the Bengal tiger, so either can win, since they are both the same subspecies.
The same as the orange Bengal tiger.....
The white tiger is merely a color variation of the Bengal tiger. Most white Bengal tigers are white with brown or black stripes, and have blue eyes. They are the same size as other Bengals, reaching up to 600 pounds.
same as the Bengal (Or sometimes the siberian tiger) mostly the forests in india and siberia. a white tiger is a color variant of either the bengal or siberian tiger happening once every 15000births
Yes. The "white tiger" is a Bengal tiger with a white coat. The coat color is determined by a recessive gene that is specific to the Bengal subspecies.
Answer: A white tiger is NOT a separate species of tiger- and there is no such thing as a "separate species of tiger," because if it was a different species then it wouldn't be a tiger, now would it? You mean "subspecies." A white tiger comes about due to a recessive gene in the parents' DNA. This gene has only been confirmed in the Bengal tiger, so if you see a white tiger and a… Read More
As all tigers are endangered, yes they are. But they are not a separate subspecies from the Bengal tiger. Same animal, just a rare color mutation.
No,the Caspian tiger was an extinct subspecie of tigers that was almost in the Same size and Looks like the modern Siberian tiger, white tigers are a color morph Of any Subspecies of tigers(the Siberian tigers don't have this problem only if a Bengal tiger with a color morph and a Siberian will mate,so generally only a Bengal Tigers seem to have this mutant). A white tiger's pale coloration is caused by the presence of a… Read More
No, actually there is no such thing as white Bengal tigers. Bengal tigers are orange with black stripes, and Siberian Tigers(white tigers striped in black). Siberian tigers are the same as White tigers.
In the wild, white tigers would hunt for the same prey as normal Bengal tigers, such as deer.
White Tigers, being essentially Bengal Tigers and being raised in captivity, will eat the same foods as any other tiger in captivity would.
White tigers are only a genetically flawed Bengal tiger, and usually are around the same size, up to ten feet long and 500 pounds.
White tigers hunt the same prey as any other tiger, they are just genetically mutated bengal tigers!
White tigers are a rare varation of the normal bengal tiger. Left to itself, it would hav the same kind of habitat as the normal bengal tigers - the Forests of India and some neighboring countries. But since us humans found the black and White tiger so striking, there are more White tigers alive today in captivity in parks and zoos than there has ever been in the wild. So today, the most probable habitat… Read More
Well, since the white tiger is only a change in the color gene of Bengal tigers, it grows the same size, which is typically 3 to 4 feet long.
The White Tiger is a color variant of the Bengal tiger, not a separate type of tiger. They are rare in the wild, but all tigers face the same pressure from human activity that has reduced their habitat and placed them in danger of extinction.
A white tiger would do the same thing a regular tiger does, but all white tigers are born in captivity, and therefore are given food.
the white bengal tiger has a lovely white coat with black stripes. Their stripes are like human finger prints. No tiger has the same stripes. They also have blue eyes, are excellent swimmers, and others.
If you mean by this can a white tiger beat a regular tiger in a battle easily. White tiger is half bigger than a regular tiger. Both are endangered and their natural habitats are not close together, so in nature they would never meet. But what comes to the fictional battle, they both are equipped with the same weapons, claws and teeth. White tiger is larger, granted, but size alone is not the crucial factor… Read More
A tiger is mainly orange. Has black stripes and a nice long tail. If you are looking at a white tiger, then the same thing, but mainly white.
The Royal Bengal Tiger is endangered Indian Tiger is Vulnerable All tigers are considered endangered by the IUCN. The Indian tiger and the Bengal tiger are one and the same animal.
The same thing that makes a normal tiger a mammal. It's simply a tiger just with a white coloured coat instead of an orange!
Possibly the sun bear. The sun bear weighs around 600 pounds, while the bengal tiger weighs around 570 pounds. Another Answer: I disagree, I say the Bengal Tiger would win, especially since it's been known in Siberia that tigers often hunt down bears for food. So it wouldn't be surprising if it's the same thing with a Sun Bear vs. Bengal Tiger.
The needs would be the same as all Bengal tigers. Food, water, and cover for concealment. There has not been a white Bengal seen in the wild for many years. They are only a genetic mutation of the Bengal tiger. > there use to be many Bengal tigers and there would still be a huge population if people would stop hunting then for there coat.., Danika
The same size as a Bengal Tiger. See related question.
All tigers are basically the same, other than for size. The Bengal is the second largest tiger, only the Amur or Siberian tiger is larger.
No..White tigers are only a color morph of the Bengal tiger, and snow leopards are a species of leopard, adapted to cold climates high in the Himalayan mountains.
No! First of all, they don't share the same habitat. Bengal tigers live in Southeastern Asia and chimpanzees live in Central Africa. If they did live in the same area, the Bengal tiger would most likely hunt the chimpanzee for food.
The Siberian is basically the same color as other tigers, a russet orange above and white beneath with dark brown or black stripes. They may be somewhat paler than other subspecies, but are never white. White tigers are very rare color morphs of the Bengal tiger.
The only tiger species that can produce a white coat is the Bengal tiger. This is due to a recessive gene that is only found in the Bengal subspecies. Both parents must have the genes. It is like blue eyes in humans. With the exception of the coat color, white tigers are the same as orange coated tigers as far as their physicality and growth, strength, etc. The white coat, however, can be a disadvantage… Read More
White tigers are simply a genetic mutation within all tiger subspecies, so the classification is the same as regular Bengal tigers. Kingdom Animalia Phylum Chordata Class Mammalia Order Carnivora Family Felidae Genus Panthera Species Tigris Subspecies Tigris Panthera tigris tigris. Please note that "White Tigers" are simply ordinary tigers with leucism or albinism.
same as all cats do by peeing on it
well lions noses go darker as they age so i am assuming to same goes for the tiger considering they are very closely related
Not really, no. Sun bears can be about the same size as a tiger, especially a bengal.
Bengal tigers will roar if they have cubs, but if its a pack, they will just be roaming, same with the loan tiger
Tigers regularly feed on sloth bears so the tiger wins this one.
The white tiger is only a color variation in the Bengal tiger and, therefore, has the same habits and disposition. They are generally white with black or brown stripes, though some are nearly white all over. They have blue eyes (they are not true albinos). The first ones came from Rewa, India in the 1960's, and now are extremely rare in the wild. Most white tigers today came from the first few found in Rewa.
They don't. Tigers have cubs, and they have them the same way any mammal does.
They are the same but the only mere difference is a white tiger is white, while a tiger can be orange. some of the white tigers are white
Neither, considering that tigrris tigrs (or Panthera tigris tigris) is the exact same subspecies of tiger.
Nothing at all. They do not live is the same areas.
No. A white tiger is a tiger. A snow leopard is a leopard. Different animals.
The Asiatic lion and tiger do not share the same habitat so do not meet in nature.
To be honest, to my knowledge, They are the same thing just a different name a different place calls it pick the one you want too! The Siberian is paler, with more white on the underparts, and the stripes are wider and there are fewer of them. Siberians have longer fur, and are usually a bit larger. But some Bengals of the northern Indian region and Assam and Nepal, can be as big or slightly… Read More
The Bengal tiger is very smart. It's hunting strategy is built in to the genetic make up of the animal. Unfortunately, humans are not born with the same genetics as tigers and therefore they cannot adapt to it's hunting strategy.
White tigers would weigh much the same as a 'normal' tiger, because it is only their colouring that has changed. 'Normal'-coloured tigers appear in different subspecies, but the most common is the Bengal tiger. Males in the wild weigh from 205-227kg, while females usually weigh approximately 141kg.
When considering the cell theory what is it you can say that is in common between a palm tree and a Bengal tiger?
Maybe. They are the same
