Is a Honda Civic EX motor the same as a Honda Civic LX motor?

It depends on what year model it is. the ex version comes single cam vtec, lx comes single cam non vtec So no they are not really the same.

yep ex is 1.6 V-tec, all other models r either standard SOHC 1.6 or 1.5 sohc or 1.7 sohc......

Yes it is. EX and LX are differant in body trim , interior, and some other options such as factory installed air conditioning

Actually the EX is a V-tec and if I remember correctly the LX is just a standard 1.7 litre or 1.6 litre 4-banger. The EX has more power.
