Honda 10w40 works well
Follow the lower rad. hose. Its in there. Have to remove the rad.
The standard comes with no extra equipment, fairing or side bags. The interstate is a full dress right from Honda.
Manual for the 1979-81 Honda Goldwing 1100 states "inlet 0.1mm, exhaust 0.13mm" hope that helps, bye.
This bike has an engine with a displacement of 1084.00 cc's or 66.15 cubic inches.
Good idea to check the battery. Might need to be charged, or changed.
Not very much in today's economy. That is a shame because it is a nice bike!
It all depends on how you drive, but look at around 35 to 40 mpg.
The best way would be to pick up a manual. Just too many things to do.
Front tire: 110/90-19 Rear tire: 130/90-17
The 1100 has what is refered to as a wet clutch. The same oil that is used for the motor oil is used for the transmission. Because of this it is very important to use oil that is labeled "Wet Clutch Compatable". You can get this through your Honda dealer or motorcycle shop.
First, need to know which year. If its 1000, 1100, 1200, 1500, or 1800 ? Drop me a line on my message board.
1980 was the first new version of the Goldwing Interstate. It came with the 1100 engine. That lasted till 1983, then the "84's came out with the 1200, good till 1987, then the 1500's. The 1980 Interstate all dressed cost me just $ 5,000.00 here in Canada, those were the day's.
remove battery cable remove gear change lever remove two bolts thru starter then work it out .' that's it
I have a 1982 GW 1100 Interstate 20 90 18 front Michelin mu90 b16 78H rear Dunlap
Two blots one left side and one right side - one may be Allen key. Situated at passenger area of the seat. Paula
Should be just beside the battery.
Iraqi the front of the engine at the bottom
'79 is a 1000 cc , '80 is a 1100 cc. You would have to compare the both. Or check with the parts dealer.
This bike takes about 3.7 quarts.
Look for the ID tag on the frame head. They all start with GL then the engin size (1000, 1100, 1200, 1500 or 1800) then there may be a letter, I for Interstate, A for Aspencade and S for SE (Special Edition).
my manual says to use 10w40 wt
10w40 will do just fine. I use Motul.
Will a Honda vtx 1800 rim fit a 06 Honda sabre 1100
If the tank valve just has closed and open on it, it doesn't have one.
I believe there is not really a book value on a "76. The 1000 cc gold wing was just into production and there were problems with it. I did not like the frame, as it was prone to high speed wobble. Also, the dressed version parts were not made by Honda. The change came in "80 with the interstate 1100 cc complete from Honda. The '84 to "87 1200's were made better.
On the right side there is a chcek glass it is hard to see
The key code is the same as the locks on your Sadler bag locks.. Take ur lid off and the number is on the lock. It's not hard to find! If u don't have saddle bags u must tak the key switch out! And that sucks!
81 horsepower at 7000 rpm. max torque was at 5500 rpm 64 ft lbs i think
If using a U.S. gallon, could get around 32 miles per gallon. If using a Imperial gallon, gets around 40 mpg or more. All depends on how you drive it. By the Litre ( Liter ), gets 7 or better per 100 KMS.
No, it is not the same.
I dont know i need to know where the fuses are under the seat of honda shadow 1100 show picture please
The oil capacity of a 2000 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 is 3.3 quarts. This is equal to 3.1 liters of oil.
what is the best way to remove the fulepump on a vt 1100
Yes,keep in mind that you should have a watchfull eye for any oil leaks at first.if engine has over 20% of normal life used already. sinthetic is much better friction protection, but can seap or leak easier. I changed to Mobile-one v-twin at 16000 miles with no problems. I love the stuff. Mobile one v-twin is for aircooled engines,in your water cooled eng. just use the regualer mobile one. I use 20/50 Viscosity.
The "84 models were 1200"s. The 1100's stopped in '83. On the'83, the choke is on the left side, should be a pull up small round button. On the '84, choke is on left side beside the flasher.
It is a HCB16 A-A
between 45-55 for stock 1100's running about 65 - 70 mph
When owning a vehicle it is important to know the vehicles fuel economy. The gas mileage of a Honda Shadow VT 1100 is 43 to 51 miles per gallon.
According to Honda it is 62 @ 5300 RPM
I think Honda shadow 1300 is much better than 100.
Well, considering it will need some repairs, depends on the service record, and if the stator has been changed, and the overall condition, say start at $ 1,000.00. Better off to look for a wing from around '84 to '87. This is the 1200 model. It is much better than the 1100's. Plus make sure it is original touring fairing and bags.
58 bhp @ 4750 rpm.
10w40 will be fine.
1100 pounds is the max
There is no set price that you could sell your Honda 1100 American Classic Shadow for. A car in good condition sells for more than one in poor condition.
A good quality 10w40 oil is good. Check with your local Honda dealer.
use the Honda brand its by far the best and is specially formulated for Honda motorcycles.:)
how could that be possible??, does 1100 equal 750??, maybe only if you include the pistons, heads, valves, etc., etc. like the whole top end.
