Normal is a the key word here. A recurve bow is ideal because you can make short, snap shots. You need to be quick and reactive and aim down the arrow. A compound arrow doesn't work aswell, because you have to full draw and aiming takes more time. Specialty equipment is nice, but an inexpensive recurve will suffice.
