The only strings instruments that are larger in size than the cello are the double bass and the harp.
yes of course it's like a complete over sized violin
Assuming that a string bass is an upright double bass, yes. A cello is smaller than a bass but bigger than a viola.
A cello
In the violin family, the next in pitch above the cello is the viola. The cello is the bass of the violin family. The violin itself is the soprano, and the alto is the viola. There have been tenors made of this family from time to time, but they are not in any way standard instruments and are usually called by the name tenor violin.
The viola is both larger than the violin and smaller than the cello.
Most commonly the viola
Cello is lower in pitch by one octave. It is also much bigger.
The string instrument between a violin and a cello in size is called a viola. It is bigger than a violin, and deeper in sound. It also reads in a different clef- violins read in the treble clef, and violas red in the alto clef.
Ummm... A cello is about 1/3 "smaller" than a double bass.
5inches bigger approx

The same as today's cello although they were bigger.
A cello is just like a violin except the fact that it has lower notes. It only is bigger

A cello can play in the range of a violin (much of it), if that's what you mean, but a violin's highest note is much higher than a cello's highest note.
Double Bass. its just a bass but the call it a double* so it is not mixed up with the bass guitar.
