Images cannot be stored in the actual HTML file itself. HTML is always stored in a text file. Text files cannot store images. What will be in it is a reference to the image which enables the page to show the image, by looking to its location. When you open the HTML file in a browser, it will show the image.

What is a picture that is not part on the HTML file?

It's an external resource! It's likely going to be one of 3 file formats, the Joint Photographic Exchange Graphic (JPEG) format, the Compuserve Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) or the Portable Network Graphic Format (PNG.) JPEGs are compressed with a lossy algorithm (meaning the compressed data cannot be recovered.) This keeps them small, while still maintaining excellent quality. JPEGs are most often used for photos. GIFs are a 256 color, lossless compression file. You only get 256 color, but one can be transparent. GIFs are best used for simple drawing, like icons and buttons. GIF can also be animated PNG is a 16 million color lossless compression file that was built as replacement for GIF. This format allows for both pure transparency, as well as alpha level transparency. This transparency allow for effects like shadows. You can also put pictures in PNG, but they almost never compress as well as a comparable JPEG. To use the external file on a webpage, you simply use the image tags source attribute to point to the address of the file: <img src="http://www.example.com/i/logo.png" alt="AJS" /> Viola! You can also use relative addressing. So if this were my homepage, I could instead code as: <img src="i/logo.png" alt="AJS" />

What would happen if you deleted HTML files?

Like deleting any file, you may lose them completely and not be able to get them back. If they are on a server and part of a website, then that website will not work.

How does HTML helps programming students?

It is important to note that HTML is not a programming language. It is a markup language. However, it does have some similar characteristics, like that it is a file with a list of commands, it has rules, it allows comments and other things. It is easy to learn and can be useful to get people used to the basic concept of giving instructions to a computer in a file. However there are lots of fundamentals of programming that are not in HTML, as it is not a programming language. For serious programming courses, people would not be shown HTML as part of the training. They would start on an actual programming language to be shown the fundamentals of programming. Some programming can be linked into web pages, and so integrated with HTML and if people are going to be creating programs for the internet, then they would learn HTML.

Why embedded object document requires more size than linked object?

Because a linked object is created and stored in a separate source file and then it is linked to the destination file, while an embedded object is created in a separate source file but then it is inserted into the destination file , becoming the part of that file.

How do you adjust the size of the background of your HTML design?

You use CSS (Cascading Stylesheets) to add backgrounds to block level elements inside an HTML design. If you want a design for the entire page, the CSS markup will use the "body" selector. The background-image rule is then applied. When you're finished, it might look something like this: body { background-image: url('images/bg.png'); background-repeat: repeat-x; } CSS isn't part of HTML, but a separate language contained in either an external file, or in code added along with the HTML in your HTML document.

How do you change psd to indesign format?

You can't change a PSD file into an INDD file because the INDD format isn't an image format - they're text files. To incorporate the image into the InDesign project, you have to perform a Place (File - Place) to put the image into the ID project. The image file then becomes a part of the overall ID file when it's saved, but it isn't changed to the ID format. InDesign links to the image file for both project presentation and printing purposes.
