In a lion pride, females are the hunters. The male defends his territory but leaves the hunting to the females because they are smaller and more agile. Each lion, whether male or female, has a specific role in the pride.

Yes! Because they hunt more and they kill more predators you go near a pack of lions a female is more likely to hurt you.

I think they are slower. In any case, we'll probably never know for sure because male lions don't do much hunting. The females hunt and are therefore the runners in the family.

No, tigers are bigger than lions, male or female. Lions do have those impressive manes, however. Their hair is bigger.
