Best Answer

yes
Yes, of coarse. They are very deadly.

Yes, of COURSE. But they are not very deadly. One out of one thousand bites is fatal, and there are an average of two thousand bites a year. Plus, the fatal ones are usually sustained by infants or someone allergic to the venom.
yes but are you trying to say venomous?
Yes. They are pit vipers, along with copperheads and cottonmouths, and all members of this family are venomous.

Yes - they belong to the 'pit vipers' - in that, in addition to extremely toxic venom - they also possess heat sensitive 'pit's which enable them to hunt in complete darkness.

Edit - Viper venom varies by species, but most viper venom is lethal only to the young, old or those with weakened body systems(dehydration, sickness, etc.). Most viper venom is designed to break down the blood and tissue of the victim. The venom literally 'predigests' the victim's tissue, blood, and blood veins, starting once it has been introduced into the victim. Death is usually from low blood pressure due to venom weakening the blood vein and heart causing extensive bleeding(and low blood pressure). The venom causes extreme pain, which can trigger secondary health conditions of the victim, causing death. The larger the victim the more likely the chances of survival, most adult humans will survive being envenomed during a rattlesnake bite, unless the bite happens to be on or near a major artery, which could transfer enough venom into the heart to cause the heart to fail.

The results of being bitten are not pretty and healing from the venom results in deformed areas around the bite. Without proper treatment, a bite can cause sepsis or other problems that may require amputation. It is important to get treatment as soon as possible to prevent these problems, as well as getting anti-venom to reduce to effectiveness of the venom.

Vipers(and other snakes) do not always inject venom with every strike. It can take some snakes weeks to build up to a full venom sac, so they may not inject venom when striking non-prey animals or humans. Vipers can also control how much venom they inject if they choose, so not every bite will have venom - or even enough to kill the victim. There are reports of viper bites with very little venom injected - just enough to cause pain and allow the snake to escape the area.

Yes. Rattlesnake is one of the poisonous snake species. It has a very powerful venom. The Rattlesnake venom is highly Hemotoxic. The venom travels through the bloodstream, destroying tissue and causing swelling, internal bleeding and intense pain. If an anti-venom treatment is given within the first 1-2 hours, the probability of recovery is nearly 99%.
