Is a street address an example of absolute location?
Yes, absolute location is not limited to only longitude and latitude, street addresses also apply. For example, if someone sent you a letter, the post office/mailman knows exactly where to delivery it. Therefore a street address also serves as an absolute location.

An absolute location is one that is not dependent on other information. For example "the intersection of Main St. and Elm Drive" in a particular city is an absolute location, as is your home address. A relative location is one based on a distance and direction from some other location, which itself could be absolute or relative. For example, two houses north of the intersection of Elm Drive and Main street is a relative location…
Relative location means to locate a place relative to the point of view of a viewer while absolute location is locating a place using a coordinate system. An example of relative location: The house is to your right. Or, the house is right in front of you. Absolute location would be the location using a coordinate system or other independent system of landmarks. Example: their house is located at 56.4 degrees North and 34.8 degrees…
That is one way to define a position, although it is not the only way. My position, for example, is defined by an address, which tells where I am in relation to a particular street in a particular city. The street and city are not moving with respect to myself (one could argue that they are moving with respect to the sun, but that is irrelevant to the problem of determining my own position). So…
[7:27:10 PM] Persephone Seale: 1 - It is important to have different ways of describing your location, because if you're telling someone stuppid how to get to your house, they'll need it. You could tell them the address (absolute location), but, because they're stupid, you're also going to have to tell them that your house directly across the street from the house of the town pedophile (relative location).
The normall address format for a place in the UK is: Number, Street Town County Postcode For example: 123 High Street, Anytown Lincolnshire LI99 7ZQ In many places there is another level between the street and the main town. The county is not strictly required. The house number and postcode are enough to identify the location. [In some locations house names are used instead of numbers.]
Location means: there is absolute and remote. absolute is for example: newland 23° north and 47° west. remote is like the street: i live in martinroad, Mosco, Russia.Movement is what people use as transportation.Place: how the environment is: dusty, sunny, polluted, rainy. snowy, dry, ect.Region: it is the places that are divived up by natural features.Interaction: how we interact with the environment. For example: sking interacts with the mountain and snow.
If you mail a letter and think you wrote the address wrong but city street and postal code correctly will it send to the right location?
I don't know if I wrote my return address correctly... For example if I wrote 776-1 street name, instead of 1-766 street name or 776 street name apt.#1 Would it make any difference? I have the right address, city, province, and postal code, it's just that people write things differently and I'm worried that I may not get a letter that I have been expecting. Thanks :)
How do you write your address if you are living in an apartment..do you put the apartment number in address 2?
Although there existed street names in Jesus' day (mostly streets were named after where they led to), there were no street addresses. So, the place where Jesus was born did not have a street address. Early Christians located the location of the birth of Jesus and built a church there called the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. It still does not have a street address, although it is located near Manger Square.
You'd have to write the address the French way. The address can take at most five lines: 1/ first name and name; 2/ additional information (apartment number, entrance number, Care of, etc..); 3/ street number, street name; 4/ additional information ( about the street name or location, or PO box) 5/ Zip code and town example 1: Pierre Dumoulin 24, rue de Verdun 75019 PARIS example 2: Service consommateurs Société Unlimited 24 rue de Verdun…
The Street Address field is where the person or company is located. If you want to visit them or send them mail then this is the address to use. Alternate Shipping Address is for the delivery of goods. If you have a head office and a warehouse, you want the goods delivered to your warehouse but invoices delivered to your head office. Therefore you need two addresses. Another case is if you are buying something…
To find a street address in Google Earth you simply enter its address in the Search/Fly-to text box. To enter a new business address you can create a free entry in Google Places, which is used to populate Google Earth and Google Maps. Or you can enter a new address or fix the mapping of an existing address to its correct location using the Google Map Maker.
