No one should be purging themselves at any time. You could be at the early stages of developing bulimia or anorexia.

Answerif you keep doing that crap your freakin body will start eating at you muscles (both voluntary and involuntary) Answeryou could have an ED-NOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified) meaning you do not fill all the criteria for an eating disorder. For e.g. a girl who fits most critreia for anorexia but she has not dropped 15% below average weight.

If you throw up after dinner about three-five times a week but not after every time you eat and you're still fat around 184 pounds fat does this still mean you're bulimic?

bulimia nervosa isn't a weight catergory. you can be 235lbs and be diagnosed with bulimia... its a mental thinng that has physical symptoms. Its not just about throwing up. its the thoughts running through your head whilst your at it. anyone could eat a dinner and then immitate ones behaviour and be sick. that's not bulimic . a bulimic purges because of an intense fear of gaining weight and a persistant dream of losing weight. when eaten a bulimic feels an overwhelming feeling of guilt inside that he/she cannot cope with and desposes of it by actions on the outside ( purging).bulimia is not an affective weight loss method or fad diet it is a illness and dangerous. it is highly addictive and i don't recommend it. i was diagnosed 3 years ago....maybe 4 ... time just flys by when your not really in it....

What are some eating disorders common to adolescents?

Anorexia Nervosa An eating disorder characterized by a distorted body image, fear of becoming obese, persistent aversion to food, and severe weight loss and malnutrition. Symptoms aside from aversion to food may include excessive exercise, self-induced vomiting, abuse of laxatives. Bulimia Nervosa An eating disorder characterized by an obsession over food leading to binges (large and abnormal consumptions of food) and followed by a feeling of guilt and fear of weight gain as a result from the calories consumed and so the individual purges (self induced vomiting). Other symptoms may include use of laxatives. The individual is usually lucky to purge 10% of what is consumed - and the average BMI for a bulimic is above the recommended healthy BMI. Exercise Bulimia An eating disorder characterized by the individual binging (or sometimes eating a normal diet) but exercising excessive amounts to rid of every calorie consumed. This disorder is often unnoticed but equally as dangerous as other eating disorders. Binge Eating Disorder An eating disorder characterized by an individual taking obsessive comfort in food and binging on excessive amounts of food. EDNOS Eating disorder not otherwise specified. *Bulimia and Anorexia Nervosa are most heard of. *There are other eating disorders aside from the few prominent ones mentioned here. *Eating disorders often overlap e.g. a bulimic may go through phases of anorexia and exercise bulimia.
