Yes, air is present in soil. Since soil is made of particles ranging from sand ( 0.175mm to 1.5mm), silt (0.02mm), clay ( 0.0015mm), there are minute pores between these particles for air to reside. That is why aeration of the soil is really important to plant survival.

Yes! Ofcourse it does because just like water, weathered rock particles, and air are in the soil. There is air in soil too! Ants, beavers,worms,beatles etc... live in the soil so there must be air inside soil. And even if there is nothing living inside soil, there is still air in it...
