It is processed by the liver in the same fashion. The only difference without a gallbladder is that there is no place to "store" bile that has been made. So the bile goes from the liver where it is made straight to the duodenum.

your liver produces bile... not the gallbladder. It just stores it. If you do not have a gallbladder, your bile just goes straight through to your small intestine

Bile is actually stored in the gall bladder, but produced by liver cells.
