It depends on the size and quantity of the moss. If there is little on it then you should be fine. The worst it could do is give you an upset stomach and make you sick for a few days.

Not, positive, original contributor -- but, I believe that they mean mold, rather than moss. Yes? Bread would disintegrate (and mold) far too quickly for moss to take hold and grow.
If your bread is green (or green-blue) and fuzzy? That is mold, the type from which they create the antibiotic penicillin.
If you're allergic to penicillin... or have no clue whether you are or not... do not touch it.
Yes, an allergic reaction to penicilium mold can kill you. And it can do so rather quickly.
