It depends on what Chewing Gum you are referring to. If the chewing gum is peppermint (for example), it should be fine. But if it is a meat chewing gum, (let's say beef? Seldom) It is not okay. Although if you do not know, it should be fine as meat chewing gums are rare. You're welcome!

Not necessarily. Glycerin, Glycerol and Gelatin may come from a slaughterhouse. Contact the company and ask which gums are suitable for a vegetarian diet.

Some gums contain lanolin from sheep and glycerin. Wrigley's line of gum has been confirmed as vegan.

Some flavours of Trident gum are not suitable for vegetarians because they contain gelatin or glycerin. You'll have to check the package and see for yourself.

Sometimes, it depends on its ingredients (If it contains things come from animals like pork - a popular chewing gum flavouring - then it is not vegan).
