Yes, chlamydia is always curable with antibiotics, no matter how long you had it; however damage caused by chlamydia infection can not be reversed. Treatment failure is quite rare. It's more common for someone infected with chlamydia to get reinfected soon after, perhaps because partners didn't finish treatment before they had sexual contact again, or perhaps from a new partner. That is the reason that retesting for chlamydia is recommended three months after treatment.

Chlamydia can be cured no matter how long you've had it. Any damage that chlamydia cause will not be reversed by the antibiotic, but the infection will be gone.

What is the difference between chlamydia and HPV?

Chlamydia is a bacterial sexually transmitted infection spread by fluid contact during oral, anal, or vaginal sex; genital-genital contact; sharing sex toys; or from birth to a mother with chlamydia. It is curable with antibiotics. There is no vaccine on the market in 2014 to cure chlamydia.
