Yes I believe it is. Everyone should be a citizen of a country which they live. When you are a citizen in country it allows you all the rights and entitlements of that country. I shows that you are a valued member of society and you understand all the laws of the country for which you live. By being a citizen of a country you are entitled to all the rights for yourself and your family. In a free democratic society it also gives you the right to vote and make or change policies.
