Yes... shows up as opiate's. But if you have to take a drug test and don't want it to show the night before, drink a lot of Dr. Pepper make sure you drink 1-2 20 oz of DR. Pepper thirty minutes before the test. Also and it will show caffeine, and that ingests DR. Pepper and absorbs the codeine.
However, the best advice would be to not take it in the first place, or at least not before a drugs test. (Without a prescription at least..)

∙ 12y agoyes they will show up in the same drug test if they are testing you for everything.Is what doctor and cops Pos and things do is they cna test you for certain things or test you for everything but if they do test you for hydrocodne the codeine will show up also. And if the courts cops or probation drug test you they drug test you for everythig even steroids codeine is in hydrcodone

∙ 12y agoYes,both are opiates,and your test will be positive for taking opiates. ( if your taking a UA and you do not have a prescription) not a good idea. Stop taking opiates 3 days,less if you drink alot of water,but not safe if you have been taking them for awhile..for at least 48-74 hours

∙ 9y agoOne a standard 5-panel drug test, they will both show up positive for "opiates".
However, on a more specific test, such as a secondary GCMS (gas chromatograph mass spectrometer), they will show up more specifically as "codeine" or "hydrocodone".
The differences between the two chemicals is minor. However, you can assume that both test positive on a pre-employment drug screen.

No, they are not. They both contain a narcotic analgesic combined with the nonnarcotic analgesic acetaminophen (Tylenol). Lortab contain hydrocodone and acetaminophen and Tylenol #3 contain codeine and acetaminophen. A drug test would screen for both codeine and hydrocodone.
