Should i drink cold or hot things if my throat hurts?

Pretty much. Cold drinks dont make your sore throat worse, but they dont make it better. Hot tea is way better than a soda out of the fridge or freezing cold Orange Juice. if i have a sore throat and want orange juice, i let it sit out for a while so that it becomes room temp.

Drinking liquids is just what will help you get over the sore throat. Hot drinks will help especially if you have a cold, since it helps clear the passages. Cool drinks may somewhat anesthetize your throat. You may also consider sleeping with raised pillows or in a recliner to aid the flow of congestion. See your doctor if you have this more than a few days or if you also have headache, fever and stomach issues.

Cold water is OK to drink for a sore throat; it may help to relieve some of the pain.

Gargle warm salt water. Mix one tablespoon of table salt with a glass of warm water. Try not to swallow the solution (blah!).

Drinking hot tea with honey is a soothing drink.
