I'm sorry but I really think you should research your answer before putting it up here. If a diabetic with type 2 is going to drink alcohol at all - red wine is better and always with food NOT wine wine as you suggested here.
'It is best for diabetics to drink white wine and not red, because the red has more sugars in it than white wine. White wine also goes better with fish which is also good for diabetics to eat.'
Depending on the sugar content of the wine, yes. The higher the sugar content, the higher the blood sugar will rise. Red wines are those with normally the least sugar. Sweet white wines like sauternes have the most.
YES - Diabetics can eat or drink literally anything ONLY IF they keep their blood sugar levels under control with medication or diet.
There are some studies that link moderate benefits to drinking wine with type 2 Diabetes - http://care.diabetesjournals.org/content/early/2014/02/21/dc13-2727.abstract?papetoc

Red Wine
A combination of red wine and gingerale is called a spritzer. It tastes a lot like a wine cooler, fizzy and spicy but with that delicious wine taste. A great sipping drink or party drink.
