So far, Earth seems to be the only planet in our solar system with abundant carbon-based lifeforms. There are likely some remnants of such life on the other solar planets, if only as transplanted by meteoric collisions with Earth. It is unknown if the conditions for Earth-like life exist elsewhere, or if any actually developed in those conditions.
Life has not yet been found anywhere else other than on Earth. So, to answer your question - to the best of our knowledge to date, yes.
Within our solar system, yes. Earth is the only planet that can currently sustain life on its surface. However, there are billions of solar systems out in space... we live in the milky way galaxy, and there are millions of other galaxies out there. I think that it would be a lie to say that Earth is the only planet that has living creatures. Think about it, have you ever seen all the stars in the night sky? Each star is billions and billions of miles away. We haven't even seem half of the stars out there yet!!
We really don't know. If I say yes or no, I am simply lying to you.
There are more than 10 billion trillion stars in the universe and more than 80 billion galaxies. Since, we are the product of evolution. It is certainly possible that evolution would occur in other solar systems that are similar to ours. At this moment, scientists are studying a group of planets named Gliese 581 b, c, d, and e. Their solar system seems to be promising. Gliese 581 d has a great chance for hosting life and it is about 20 light years away.
If we don't find anything at this point, it does not mean that the answer is no. We can never make a full judgment about all the 80 billion galaxies and conclude that there is no life.
I hope that this aids as a start for you.
Earth is the only planet in our Sun's solar system that has anything living on its surface.
Concerning planets in the systems of other stars, although many hundreds of them
have been discovered, we can't observe any of them closely enough yet to determine
whether or not there's anything alive on any of those.
Also, we have no reliable evidence that Earth has ever been visited by living beings
from anywhere else.
The only possible, completely-true answer to the question is: We don't know.
It is certantly the only life form we are aware of. The various claims of extra terrestrial visits to earth appear, in all cases, to be unbelievable.
It is the only known planet that can support life as we know it. All other known planets are either too cold or too hot, lack liquid water, and lack atmospheric oxygen.
No one knows for sure but it is unlikely Earth is the only planet in the universe that can support life.
Yes, its the only terrestrial planet
The Earth is unique because it is the only planet known to support life.
So far the answer is Earth... But we are still looking around...
As far as we know, the Earth is the only planet fit enough to support life.
It has dogs, fish, trees, people, and cars on it.
A guess: Carl Sagan.
Scientist study earth because earth is the place that we envolved on and is the only planet in our solar system that is know to support life and is the fifth- largest planet in our universe.
earth is the only planet IN THIS SOLAR SYSTEM that can support life. but when you think about it the universe is so big that there's such a big chance that there's life on a planet somewhere out there. but scientists have already found what looks like a planet that is as old as earth, the same size of earth, and it looks like it has water on it. but its about 20 million light years away.
Not all scientists believe this. The topic of Earth being the only planet in the known universe to support life has been and still is a heated debate amongst many scientists.
Earth- We are the only planet that can support life.
Earth
Earth is the only planet known to support and have intellegent life.
planet earth is known for being the only planet to support life
There is a planet that can support life, it is just that the earth still has many years to come before we go to another planet
earth
Only Earth.
Earth
The only known planet to support life as we know it is the one you and I are on, Earth.
