Is growing up tougher for boys than girls?

In general, it's not any worse or any easier than the obstacles

females have to face. Treatment of genders tends to depend on the

society and cultural expectations the children have to grow up

with. Very conservative cultures tend to have rigid roles for the

genders, even when individuals do not want to live their life in

such a manner. In countries where violence and civil wars occur,

both genders are victims to abuse, rape and murder. In the U.S.,

bullying and hazing are not gender specific.
