It all depends on what you prefer playing, if you prefer a more realistic game than MW3 is the one you'd go well with. But, if you like games with aliens and stuff like that, then Halo is the one you want

I actually think MW3 is better. First of all its newer and I think it has better graphics than Halo Reach. Second,MW3 has more levels in campaign and a whole lot more levels in survival. (compared to Halo Reach's firefights)

Modern Warfare 2 is very popular, but Halo Reach is still in production (yet looks very promising). Besides, which is better is more of an opinion anyway. As stated above it is an opinion. Depending on what gameplay you like, art style, map themes, and more you could love one and hate the other. I agree with the previous poster, Halo: Reach looks very promising featuring Spartan IIs, not the Master Chief. You run with an entire squad instead of on your own, and there are female spartans. As well as major graphics and SFX overhaul, the game looks to be superb at this point.
