Is heroin the most addictive drug?

I believe so in a sense. It takes a shorter amount of time for you to be addicted than any other drug. You can start craving after a few times in one week or two. No other drug is like this. It's bad news. All drugs are bad in different ways wether it be physical or psychological

Heroin is a very addicting drug, but to determine if it is the MOST addicting drug would be very difficult. Different drugs are more mentally addicting than others to different people. This is why some people can smoke a cigarette every once in a while, and others need one every 10 minutes. Heroin is probably one drug most likely to cause a significant dependence however. Addiction is where your mind wants the drug. Physical dependence is where your body NEEDS the drug to feel 'normal' (i.e. someone who's never used illicit drugs). If you are dependent on heroin, then you will need to continue taking heroin to prevent getting sick. If you suddenly stop taking heroin you will get severe withdrawal symptoms which you can find listed pretty much any place on the web. Other drugs are similar with respect to the severe withdrawal, but some like alcohol or benzodiazepines can create life threatening withdrawal symptoms and should never be stopped 'cold turkey.' Heroin tends to build this dependence much quicker than other drugs which one can become dependent on, so in this regard it is very addicting. For example, if you took heroin once a day for only a week, you may find it extremely hard to stop.
